As senior research fellow in Sebastian Maurer-Stroh's group, he is involved in curating twice-weekly reports and online data visualisations to track emergent covid19 mutations across the globe.

Previously, as research fellow in the Claridge-Chang lab, he developed robust and elegant estimation statistics for data analysis.

As tech sorceror for SingPoWriMo (the largest online month-long poetry-writing activity in Asia), he archives and visualizes the poetry posted. Joses also has interests in creative computing and generative text.

As performer, he has been featured in Sing Lit Body Slam (the world's first spoken-word / pro-wrestling show), Spoke and Bird, and the Singapore Writers' Festival (2015, 2016, 2019).

He is also a pro-wrestler and ring announcer with Grapple MAX. He has fought in a Thai-disco-turned-indie-cinema, and most recently in a three-man tag team bout.

His fiction can be found at Nature Futures and LabLit. His poetry is published in QLRS, LONTAR, and various SingPoWriMo anthologies.

You can find him on Twitter, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, and Github. He can be reached at joseshowh at icloud dot com.
